As the name suggests, this is where the elephants come to drink water. It is a ghat on nallathanniyar stream 04km away from Mankulam and 48km away from Pallivasal. The western side of stream is a forest and herds of wild elephant are seen to come and use this spot as a watering hole at least here times a day. So the chances of wild elephant sightings are very high at this spot which is visible from the road.
